Job Description

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a renovation specialist at All Canada Contracting & Renovation Ltd.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours of work per week.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and be able to estimate labour and material costs accurately.
  • As a renovation specialist, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and installing windows, doors, and other fixtures.
ResponsibilitiesTasks
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Estimate costs and materials
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition
Support for Youths
  • Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth
Support for Veterans
  • Participate in government or community programs that support veterans
Support for Indigenous People
  • Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment
Support for Visible Minorities
  • Participate in government or community programs that support visible minorities

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
