Position Accountabilities

  • Provides trend and variance analysis of payables and receivables, ensuring accurate financial reporting and informed decision-making.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and parses data files for monthly reporting, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Creates and maintains files utilized for quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Performs audits to ensure the accuracy of financials, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Executes month-end close, including preparation, analysis, and reporting of actuals, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial accountabilities include tracking against actuals, variance analysis, journal entries, match-and-clear, and Blackline preparation, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Provides detailed and accurate reporting, with value-added analysis, to Senior Leadership, informing strategic decision-making and driving business growth.
  • Executes management and SOX controls, including performing reviews, generating supporting documentation, and drawing conclusions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Leads process improvement and automation, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and implementing changes to improve business outcomes.
  • Leads process documentation creation and maintenance, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of business processes and procedures.
  • Assists the Manager as required, providing support and guidance to ensure successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Strict adherence to SOX and Internal Controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the integrity of financial reporting.

Position Requirements

  • Post-secondary in finance or business-related discipline, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years of equivalent or relevant experience, with a proven track record of success in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong Excel knowledge, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to influence others and work with a strong sense of urgency, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
