The Ville de Pointe-Claire is seeking a highly skilled Technical Municipal Engineering Officer to join its team. As a key member of the organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts and carrying out various projects related to the city's vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare technical documents, specifications, and tenders for vehicle purchases and maintenance.
- Manage contracts, follow up on projects, and research best practices in the field.
- Supervise and evaluate project work, and possess project management capabilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, and provide excellent client service.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in automotive and heavy vehicle mechanics.
- College diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Two years of experience in a similar position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant municipal and automotive experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel, and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
