We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Care Companion for seniors at Barrie's Special Care Homes. This is a permanent, part-time position working 30 to 40 hours per week.
About the RoleAs a Care Companion, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support and care to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include administering medications, assisting with bathing and personal hygiene, and providing companionship. You will also be responsible for collecting specimens, feeding or assisting with feeding, and providing personal care. Additionally, you may be required to assist with regular exercise, such as walking, and provide emotional support to our residents.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and one year of experience in a related field. You must be physically demanding and able to perform repetitive tasks. We are looking for someone who is punctual, organized, reliable, and a team player. If you have experience working with seniors, diversity, and cross-cultural trainings, that would be an asset.
BenefitsAt Barrie's Special Care Homes, we offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes opportunities for professional growth and development, flexible scheduling, and a welcoming work environment.
