About the Role

HelloFresh Canada is seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to oversee inventory management and warehouse processes in our Distribution Center. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure accurate tracking of inventory movements, quantities, and quality at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain real-time inventory records and visibility by executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and controls in all warehouse activities and material flow.
  • Liaise with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to develop and publish weekly inventory metrics.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and provide explanations and corrective actions to inventory variances.
  • Conduct cycle counts and lead initiatives to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Planning to conduct ABC inventory analysis, improve cycle count efficiency and accuracy, and storage utilization.
  • Ensure compliance of warehouse and inventory processes and procedures in the Distribution Centers.
  • Support warehouse projects, system implementations, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Site Leader and Supply Chain teams on consumables budget, inventory, and fulfillment.
  • Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) acts and regulations.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude, with experience working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Drive and self-motivation, with a desire to lead and make a meaningful impact in the business and lives of employees.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to empower and enable others to share ideas and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Professional certifications and/or licenses with Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Availability to work weekend schedules and cold facilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and video conferencing (Hangouts Meet).
