Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Supervisor at Seasons Retirement Communities. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care services to our residents, mentoring and guiding our care staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Supervise and mentor care staff, providing guidance and education to ensure excellent care services are delivered.
  • Conduct assessments of residents moving into our community and follow up with residents throughout their transition to our community.
  • Establish priorities based on individual resident needs and develop Person-Centred Service Plans (PCC) to ensure resident-centered care.
  • Ensure compliance with resident assessments, service plans, and community-specific policies, procedures, and Alberta Health Services (AHS) regulations.
  • Manage risk by adhering to thorough monthly care-related audits and ensuring medication administration is carried out safely and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Experience working with seniors in a retirement or long-term care facility environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and motivate care staff.
  • Point-Click-Care (PCC) knowledge is considered an asset.
