Job Title: Support Counsellor

Kahnawake Shakotiia'takehnhas Community Services is seeking two highly skilled and experienced individuals to provide outreach support and counselling services to individuals, families, youth, and the elderly within the community.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, Secondary Prevention, the Support Counsellor operates as part of a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing appropriate support and counselling services to the clients of Kahnawake Shakotiia'takehnhas Community Services.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and complete Service Plans
  • Provide support and counselling services to clients
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners
Requirements
  • Active membership in the Professional Order of Social Workers or the Acquired Rights List
  • One to three years of related work experience
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
