As a key member of our vineyard operations team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to vineyard management, including pruning, tie vines, plant/replant vines, water and train young vines, suckering and shoot thinning, weed control, and harvesting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual general vineyard labour, including tasks such as pruning, tie vines, plant/replant vines, water and train young vines, suckering and shoot thinning, weed control, and harvesting.
  • Assist with vineyard and trellis maintenance, including post, anchor, and wire repair or replacement, removing rocks, filling holes, weed trimming around end post and anchors, and maintenance of headland.
  • Operate small vineyard equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • No education requirement.
  • Experience is an asset, but not required, and training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Be able to work under conditions that require standing for long periods of time, bending, crouching, kneeling, and navigating uneven terrain when walking.
