- Cloud Experience: Significant cloud platform experience, preferably with AWS or Azure.
- Computer Science Fundamentals: Strong fundamental knowledge of computer science algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Distributed Systems: Experience designing distributed systems at scale handling large data sets leveraging Apache Spark, Kafka, Kinesis, and Hadoop toolsets.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to well-crafted software and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Agile Experience: Exposure to and interest in Agile approaches to software development, including automated testing, continuous integration, project rooms, pair programming, etc.
- Front-end Development: Fluent and current in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Database Experience: Relational and/or NoSQL databases, SQL queries, and object relational mapping tools.
- Distributed Computing: Distributed computing and platform as a service.
- UNIX and Linux: UNIX, Linux, and W3C technologies, including XML.
- Automated Build and Deployment: Automated build, test, and deployment tools.
