Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at William Osler Health System.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will provide quality occupational therapy services to patients, focusing on enhancing their overall functioning and independence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult physical medicine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' physical, perceptual, cognitive, and functional status.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' occupational performance and independence.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare teams on occupational therapy services and strategies for optimal recovery.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and good standing.
  • Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists preferred.
  • Fluent English language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
  • Recent experience in adult physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  • Basic knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to general medicine and rehabilitation clients.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
