About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Defence Litigation Specialist to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation in insurance defence matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation in insurance defence matters, including employment and human rights, abuse claims, and other related areas.
- Work closely with our in-house counsel and external partners to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify key issues and develop sound legal arguments.
- Prepare and present complex legal documents and arguments in court.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in insurance defence litigation, with a strong background in employment and human rights law.
- Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
