Vernon, Canada Interior Health Authority Full time

Vernon Jubilee Hospital, part of the Interior Health Authority, is seeking casual Medical Radiography Technologists (MRTs) to join our dynamic Medical Imaging Department.

Casual employment means that work requirements can vary between 0 and 37 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call basis and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absence. This position will work days/evenings with shift times ranging from 07:30 to 15:42, 08:00 to 16:12, 08:18 to 16:30, 08:48 to 17:00, 10:00 to 14:00, 16:00 to 00:12, and 16:30 to 00:42.

The Medical Radiation Technologist performs radiographic/fluoroscopic and related duties in collaboration with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. As a teaching facility, we have students in all modalities. Our department consists of 3 general radiography rooms, 1 multi-purpose room for fluoroscopy, and 5 mobile x-ray machines.

We are a busy and diverse facility, serving many nearby communities relying on us for imaging services. The successful applicant will provide X-ray services to both inpatients and outpatients, making a significant difference in these communities.

**Compensation:** The estimated salary range for this position is $50-$70 CAD per hour, based on industry standards and the location. Please note that compensation may vary depending on qualifications and experience.

**Job Requirements:

  • Valid BC registration as a Medical Radiography Technologist
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
