About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Lead Hand to join our team at House 2 Home Landscaping. As a key member of our groundskeeping team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of outdoor spaces and maintaining existing grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delegating tasks and overseeing the use of tools and equipment.
  • Training new crew members and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Assessing progress and making recommendations to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Ensuring all crew members adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Completing landscape design and construction projects to the highest standards.
  • Performing regular equipment inspections to ensure they are in good working order.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience building block retaining walls and installing paving stones.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping.
  • On-the-job training as a landscape crew member.
  • Experience in a leadership role is an asset.
  • Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical ability to perform installation work on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to keep accurate timesheet records.
  • Willingness to attend training classes and seminars as requested by management.
  • Frequent operation of machinery such as a powered auger, compactor, sprayer, cutoff saw, and masonry saw.
  • A first aid certificate is a bonus.
  • Steel-toed boots and a valid class 5 driver's license are required.
