Job Title: AWS and Azure System Administrator

CAE is seeking a highly skilled AWS and Azure System Administrator to join our Core IT Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the support and enhancement of our AWS and Azure Cloud Hosting Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze resource usage and performance, recommending system capabilities to ensure cloud resource availability, reliability, security, and integrity.
  • Maintain Virtual Cloud Network and Firewall, Routing/NAT Rules, VPN, and other cloud services.
  • Provide assistance to the DevOps team to deploy and operate monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure visibility of systems' behavior.
  • Perform system and data backup regularly, checking the completion of backup and verifying the recovery procedure.
  • Define and implement permission policies for cloud resources.
  • Ensure information security policy standards are managed and maintained in alignment with security best practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct servers and systems repairs, upgrades, patches, and installations.
  • Ensure servers and computers' critical vulnerabilities are addressed timely.
  • Update and periodically test Disaster Recovery procedures.
  • Provide Tier 3 IT support for staff across the organization, including ad-hoc out-of-hours support.
  • Occasional Tier 2-1 IT Support for on-site users.
Requirements:
  • A technical school, IT, or Engineering degree or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Min. 3 years in AWS and Azure cloud hosting.
  • Min. 5 years working in a Global IT environment.
  • Familiar with Windows Server, SQL Server, and.NET Web Application Hosting.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript, PowerShell, and Python script.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and compliance standards.
