Cree Security Guardian

We are seeking a skilled and vigilant individual to fill the position of Security Guardian at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintaining discipline, providing surveillance, and ensuring the safety and security of our institution's properties.

As a Security Guardian, you will be responsible for answering phone calls, transferring messages, and performing various tasks to support the smooth operation of our facilities. If you possess excellent communication skills, a keen sense of observation, and a strong ability to work with diverse clientele, we encourage you to apply for this role.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and hold the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training certification or be willing to complete it. While prior experience is not necessary, having related experience would be an asset. A reading and writing test will also be administered to assess your skills.

In addition to meeting the basic requirements, we welcome candidates who may not have a specific diploma but possess 1-2 years of related experience. You will be required to demonstrate self-control, attention to detail, and resourcefulness in your daily tasks.

To succeed in this role, you must be fluent in English and Cree, with proficiency in French being an added advantage. As a Security Guardian, you will work autonomously, flexibly, and discreetly, taking ownership of your duties and responsibilities.
