About Your Role as a Intermediate Systems EngineerYou will be working as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team including hardware, software, and systems engineering to assist and oversee the development of engineering designs, integration testing, and delivery of modern marine and naval communications systems. You will work through system and customer requirements, becoming a subject matter expert in one or more sub-systems and driving the system design to a compliant solution.
Your responsibilities will include system engineering activities for bids, contracts, and products in the military/civilian markets for domestic/international customers, creating high-level conceptual designs, innovative, scalable, and adaptive solutions to complex systems, producing interface control documents between system components, performing systems studies and analyses, trade studies and engineering budgets, risk management, change management, estimating work packages, designing, implementing, and executing system test cases, analyzing and evaluating test results, developing technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors, identifying potential suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, preparing equipment procurement specification, scoping and costing specialty efforts, industry engagement and trade studies, developing test plans, requirements elicitation and decomposition, requirements derivation and development, technical subcontract management, developing preliminary and detailed designs, producing technical documentation, supporting test, verification, and validation activities, and providing mentorship and leadership to junior engineering staff.
