About the Role

Located within a scenic valley amidst rolling hills and the Rocky Mountains, our community offers endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. The ideal candidate will be based in Long-Term Care, where they will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide evidence-informed services that cater to individuals' needs.
As an integral member of the healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide clinical direction to a Therapy Assistant, collaborate with professionals from surrounding areas, and have opportunities to connect with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, they may be offered the chance to provide clinical placements for Occupational Therapy or Therapy Assistant students.

Responsibilities
The OT will engage individuals, groups, and communities to promote meaningful occupations, including self-care, productivity, and leisure activities. They will support clients to achieve optimal functional abilities and independence by focusing on their cognitive, affective, spiritual, and physical strengths and limitations. This includes providing comprehensive services such as triage, screening, consultation, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, prevention, self-management, education, case management, referral, transition support, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements
The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and be registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). A current AADL Authorizer is preferred but not required.
