We are seeking a skilled Materials Manufacturing Process Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role

The Materials Manufacturing Process Coordinator will play a crucial role in leading the improvement, development, and implementation of materials best practices and projects. Using project management skills and methodologies, this individual will identify, document, investigate, track, resolve, and continuously improve all processes within regards to plant layout, PFEP, and material conveyance related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Prepare and maintain Plan For Every Part for all current and new programs based on run standards and customer volumes.
  • Space Utilization: Ensure that PFEP is designed to maximize space utilization and minimize material movement.
  • Material Flow Planning: Continuously update the Material Flow Plan, Plant Layout, and PFEP to ensure that space utilization is maximized and wasted movement and space are eliminated.
  • Standard Work Development: Develop and maintain standard work/routings for all material conveyance.
  • Dock Utilization Planning: Develop and maintain a Dock Utilization Plan for all facilities.
  • Value Stream Mapping: Prepare and review Value Stream Maps.
  • Audit Participation: Participate in CTPAT audits along with the Logistics Coordinator and Materials Area Leaders.
  • New Program Launch: Actively participate in new program launches.
  • Engineering Change Management: Help monitor and implement Engineering Changes and Bank Builds.
  • Safety Compliance: Required to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA. Follows and ensures the Company's procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout their assigned area.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Post-secondary education: In Materials/Supply Chain Management, Material Conveyance/Lean, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Planning or Layout/Material Flow-related role.
  • Skills: Must be knowledgeable and experienced with Microsoft Office and CAD. Must have strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Must be familiar with manufacturing processes and regulations.
  • Preferred qualifications: Knowledge and experience in project management and leadership. Physically able to perform the essential duties of the position. Knowledge of Lean Principles, Value Stream, and Layout Design.
