What is the Opportunity?

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Security Solutions Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Security Solutions Architecture team, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex security initiatives across our on-premise and multi/hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design secure, scalable, and resilient security solutions that meet the bank's business and technical requirements.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance on security-related topics, including threat modeling, security roadmaps, and architecture best practices.
  • Partner with technical experts across the organization to ensure security architecture requirements are accounted for in program/project planning.
  • Lead and participate in technical architecture review boards, approving architectural decisions made on programs and projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with current and emerging threats, and ensure solution architectures and designs are secure and effective.

Requirements:

  • 10 or more years of demonstrated experience in security solutions architecture or enterprise security architecture.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting large and complex security solutions across on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
  • Expert knowledge across multiple security domains, including network security, endpoint security, application security, and cloud security.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in shaping security strategies and roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated experience with threat modeling.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
