Job Title: Laundry Machine Operator

Modern Cleaners is seeking a skilled Laundry Machine Operator to join our team. As a Laundry Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our laundry equipment to ensure high-quality cleaning and processing of garments.

Responsibilities:
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals to ensure optimal cleaning results.
  • Operate machines to dye, spray, re-oil, and re-buff suede and leather garments.
  • Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles.
  • Hand iron laundered fine linens or dry-cleaned silk garments.
  • Operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers and use hand irons to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other dry cleaned and laundered articles.
  • Assemble and bag finished articles.
  • Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met.
  • Use hand-held steam iron to touch up finished garments and other articles.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
Working Conditions:

Our laundry facility is a dry cleaning and laundry establishment where you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team of professionals. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment and follow all safety protocols.
