We are seeking a skilled Plant Operations Specialist to join our team at Providence Healthcare. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our plant, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain heating boilers, air conditioning systems, and other plant equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of equipment, including hot and cold water lines, waste lines, sewer lines, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Monitor and adjust temperature control systems, and record meter and gauge readings to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform preventative and demand maintenance on steam and hot water boilers, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
- Respond to service and emergency calls, resetting systems and performing required repairs as needed.
- Certificate of competency as a 4th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
- Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively, and to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
