Project Cost Controller

At PTAG, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller to join our team. This is a contract position based in Northern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the set-up and coordination of budget, cost, and schedule control within project responsibilities.
  • Project controls work according to workflows within the project.
  • Prepare and maintain the project's cash flow.
  • Prepare and maintain the project's PO list, including all necessary information for outside queries.
  • Set up and maintain the project's cost structure in SAP.
  • Ensure proper booking of all POs and invoices, preventing bypassing of the approved budget by any party.
  • Maintain the project's budget database and SAP interface sheets, all POs and invoices on the central controlling server.
  • Maintain the project's schedule.
  • Provide monthly, weekly, and stakeholder reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree/diploma in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant project controls work experience, preferably within the mining industry or in an EPCM environment.
  • Working knowledge of project controls, cost control, procurement/contracts, document control, and project reporting.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Ability to work at an advanced level with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent English language skills, verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated high-level coordination skills to gather cost data from project leaders, engineering, procurement, and other stakeholders.
