Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Apollo Homes Ltd. This is a permanent position requiring 35-40 hours of work per week.

About the Role

This role involves operating heavy equipment, ensuring it is well-maintained and performing routine checks to prevent mechanical issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing onboard logs, conducting pre-operational checks, and preparing accident reports as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of heavy equipment with precision and attention to detail
  • Maintain equipment in good working order through regular cleaning, lubrication, and inspections
  • Complete detailed records of maintenance activities, including onboard logs and accident reports
  • Perform minor repairs to heavy equipment, escalating more complex issues to senior technicians when necessary
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operation of heavy equipment during construction projects
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • At least 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or operation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 CAD, commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as access to professional development opportunities.
