Job Title: Truck Driver - Over the Road

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Over the Road to join our team at Plasma Trucking Ltd. As a Truck Driver - Over the Road, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances.
  • Load and unload goods at various locations.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the vehicle.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
