Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the General Medicine Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality patient-focused nursing care, working collaboratively with our inter-professional healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in the General Medicine Unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute medicine
- Knowledge of COPD, inhaler, and nebulizer therapy
- Experience in care of patients with TPN, NG tubes, chest tubes, tracheostomy, wound care, enteral feeds, IV therapy, blood collection, and isolation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional team
