Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the General Medicine Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality patient-focused nursing care, working collaboratively with our inter-professional healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in the General Medicine Unit
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute medicine
  • Knowledge of COPD, inhaler, and nebulizer therapy
  • Experience in care of patients with TPN, NG tubes, chest tubes, tracheostomy, wound care, enteral feeds, IV therapy, blood collection, and isolation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional team
