About the Role
RBC is looking for a seasoned expert to lead its climate risk analytics efforts. As an Associate Director, you will oversee the development of climate risk scenario analysis models, focusing on physical and transition risks. You will collaborate with vendors, design Python-based tools, and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of experts in climate risk analytics, ensuring smooth project execution and knowledge sharing.
- Model Development: Oversee the development of climate risk scenario analysis models, focusing on physical and transition risks.
- Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors to integrate and validate hazard models, conduct comprehensive benchmarks, and enhance existing models.
- Tool Development: Design and implement Python-based tools at a production level.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in climate risk analytics, with a PhD or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. They must have excellent leadership skills, a proven track record in model development, and hands-on experience with RCP, SSP scenarios, and CMIP5/6 datasets.
