Procurement Expert for Electronics and Soft-Goods Manufacturing

At the Safariland Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain function, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment commonly used in electronics and soft-goods manufacturing.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and methods in the private sector. You will work closely with our Strategic Supply Chain Manager and day-to-day guidance from the Strategic Supply Chain Specialist to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Responsibilities
  • Purchase or negotiate to purchase materials, supplies, and equipment according to Med-Eng policy and procedures.
  • Evaluate bids, reconcile discrepancies, expedite transactions, and follow up on purchasing matters.
  • Secure and compare information regarding source of supply, price, quality, availability, terms, and conditions for varied materials, supplies, services, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting (AX) to allow for internal visibility of material status and visibility to purchasing on time delivery.
  • Monitor contracts and orders, and expedites delivery; compares invoices to purchase orders and reconciles discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Possession of a degree/diploma from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, commerce, materials management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a buyer.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of purchasing in the private sector, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other applicable laws and regulations.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also have access to excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
