Position: Produce Clerk

Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Responsibilities:

1. 
   
2. Deliver outstanding customer service
   
3. Guide customers to specific items
   
4. Assist in receiving and inspecting fresh produce
   
5. Stock, face, cull and rotate inventory following the First In, First Out (FIFO) process
   
6. Wash, cut, and package product for fresh cut program
   
7. Water plants and change water in flowers as required
   
8. Ensure consistent supply and display of fresh produce
   
9. Operate equipment safely
   
10. Maintain temperature logs and ensure all food and equipment temperatures comply with food safety guidelines
    
11. Verify package dates and remove expired products
    
12. Stay informed about Canadian Food Inspection Agency recalls and CAC's required response, providing customers with current information
    
13. Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
    
14. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
    

Qualifications:

1. 
   
2. Outstanding customer service and communication skills
   
3. Strong organizational skills
   
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
   
5. Team player with the ability to work independently
   
6. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
   
7. Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)
