About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Super Homes. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the framing and installation of our homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for framing and installation projects
    • Develop and implement plans to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Site Work
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Project Management
    • Estimate costs and materials for framing and installation projects
    • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in framing and installation
  • Language
    • Fluency in English
  • Work Schedule
    • 35 to 40 hours per week
