We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at LINEX INDUSTRIES LTD.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, as well as repairing cracks and holes. They will also mix paint to the desired colour and texture, measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, and advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, and repair cracks and holes.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Operate various equipment and machinery, including brush painting, conventional spray painting, multi-ratio pump spraying, patterned rollers, and roller painting.
  • Surface Preparation Experience: Have experience with drywall taping/patching, water/hydroblasting, and other surface preparation techniques.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player qualities.
  • Experience: Have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, with a permanent position and 40 hours per week of work.
