Landscape Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable person to join our landscaping team at Nest Landscaping Ltd. as a Landscape Maintenance Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the construction and maintenance of outdoor spaces, including landscaping, weeding, pruning, and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the construction and maintenance of outdoor spaces
  • Weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants
  • Cutting grass and raking and collecting refuse
  • Removing litter and garbage
  • Carting and spreading topsoil and other materials
  • Laying sod or seed and planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Applying fertilizers and watering and tending to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Operating fan snow guns
Requirements

The successful candidate will require:

  • No formal education is required, but the ability to learn and work independently is essential
  • Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment

The work environment will be outdoors, with regular exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures. The successful candidate will be required to work safely and follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols.

Location

The successful candidate will be required to work at various locations, including residential and commercial properties.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. The role involves handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.

Language and Hours

The work language is English, and the successful candidate will be required to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
