About the Role

Soucy is seeking an experienced Design Engineering Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for growth and development.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Design Engineering Manager to lead our design engineering team. As a key member of our equipment department, you will be responsible for defining project requirements, planning activities, drafting proposals, and managing budgets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Define project requirements with stakeholders, plan activities, and ensure timely completion.
  • Proposal Development: Draft proposals, including budget and scope, for approval by senior management.
  • Design Management: Plan, coordinate, and approve designs for new equipment and projects.
  • Component Sourcing: Research and procure necessary components for projects.
  • Subcontracting Management: Oversee subcontractors involved in projects.
  • Implementation Oversight: Ensure successful implementation of projects within the plant.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as maintenance, production, commissioning, manufacturing engineering, and others.
  • Communication: Report project progress through dashboards, indicators, or governance meetings.
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure client needs are met, and proposed solutions satisfy clients throughout the project.

  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of design engineering principles and practices.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
