About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic Helper to join our team at CARSTAR New Minas. As an Automotive Mechanic Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our technicians in providing exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including moving tools and equipment as needed.
  • Support Surveying Activities by holding stakes and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Provide Assistance to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed by supervisors.
  • Clean Machines and Work Areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Environment is physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Work Schedule involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight Handling is limited to up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
