Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Systems Specialist to join our team at Connect Tech Inc. in Guelph, ON Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the ongoing development and management of our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Corrective Action System Management
    • Initiate, manage, and monitor the Corrective Action system to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer complaints and internal non-conformances.
    • Determine root cause through investigation and collaboration with involved team members.
    • Identify and assign Corrective Actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Manage execution of Corrective Actions, track timelines, and verify completion of assigned tasks.
    • Assist engineers and project managers with QMS and QA tasks related to customer communication.
  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Development and Reporting
    • Develop, maintain, and distribute/present KPI data relevant to the electronics manufacturing industry, including First Pass Yield, On-Time Delivery, and other metrics.
  • Auditing and Compliance
    • Participate in auditing activities, including conducting internal audits and preparing reports.
    • Guide external registrar audits and customer site visits/audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process Documentation and Improvement
    • Create, modify, and maintain process documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Assist with the growth of the QMS to meet the needs of Connect Tech Inc. as the company expands its capabilities and employee base.
    • Research and implement other standards, such as AS9100, to ensure compliance with industry requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience and Education
    • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and/or other Quality Management Systems (AS9100, etc.).
    • Hands-on production experience, preferably within an electronics manufacturing environment.
    • Experience and/or education in process development/management, procedure creation, and work instruction development.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Well-developed communication, interpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
    • Experience and developed skills in root cause identification and corrective action practices.
    • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
    • Strong time management and scheduling skills.
    • Able to effectively work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
