Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team at MHMI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch grooming services to our feline and canine clients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets to ensure they look and feel their best.
  • Dematting and detangling hair as required, taking care to prevent matting and tangling.
  • Trimming pets' nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears with precision and care.
  • Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners' instructions or standard grooming styles.
  • Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have, such as specific coat styles or trimming requirements.
  • Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations.
  • Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Routinely cleaning work areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of previous grooming experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • A sound understanding of animal behavior, including body language and social cues.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time, handling heavy equipment and lifting pets safely.
  • The ability to treat all animals with compassion and respect, creating a positive and stress-free experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with pet owners and colleagues.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, providing a high level of satisfaction and loyalty from our clients.
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This package includes:

  • A base salary of $45,000 per annum.
