About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Barber Shop Team Member to join our team at Denim & Smith Barber Shop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality hair cutting and grooming services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Style Hair: Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences, using a variety of techniques and tools.
  • Shave and Trim: Shave and trim beards and mustaches to create a clean and polished look.
  • Supervise and Assist: Supervise and assist other hair stylists and staff members as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Color and Chemical Services: Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair, using a variety of products and techniques.
  • Wig and Hair Piece Styling: Clean and style wigs and hair pieces to create a natural and attractive look.
  • General Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in the hair industry is an asset.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive tasks and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and a team player attitude.
