Product Development Manager

The Product Development Manager position at CB Canada is a critical role that involves driving profitable sales by creating and owning a customer-centric product assortment. The individual in this position will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately $15M - $30M in COGs, executing category strategies, and ensuring merchandise product assortment through digital assets. This role requires strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional projects or initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop category strategies based on customer insights and build product portfolios that deliver against strategy.
- Manage product portfolios with various strategic priorities, such as sales growth, margin growth, inventory optimization, and more.
- Drive profitable sales by creating strategies and incentives to increase existing customer share of wallet or increase market share.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Product Management, Marketing, and Finance to support the business and continuously improve.
- Build and execute sales and promotional strategies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of related experience in Purchasing, Manufacturing, or Distribution business, with a focus on growing top-line sales, margin, and customer experience.
- Experience with financial forecasting and P&L management or similar supply chain analytics.
- Demonstrated success in developing sales-driving strategies that resulted in increased sales and profitability.
- Experience working in a multi-channel distribution or retail environment.
- Experience working with large SKU sets and complex item master data.
