We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team at the Canadian Institute for Health Information. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in organizing and leveraging our pan-Canadian data to support improvements in the healthcare system and ultimately the health of Canadians.
Key Responsibilities- Manage CIHI data, ensuring it is fit for purpose, and support the production of key deliverables for internal and external dissemination.
- Conduct data management activities, including writing and updating statistical code required for the development, computation, analysis, and/or verification of key deliverables.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of data, tools, and analytical techniques used to produce standard and ad-hoc outputs.
- Ensure adherence to, and ability to demonstrate compliance with, CIHI's privacy and security policies and procedures when using CIHI data and information.
- Participate in other meetings and corporate project teams as required.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Epidemiology, Health Information, Statistics, Social Sciences, Health/Business Administration)
- Three to five years related experience working with relational databases / large datasets, including manipulating, maintaining, and preparing data and presenting analyses and reports for different audiences.
- Proficiency with data manipulation and statistical software, such as Python, R, or other statistical software is essential.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English is required, bilingualism is an asset.
