About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our Internal Audit department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute operational audit and value-add consulting engagements to assess the adequacy of internal controls and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement action plans to address audit findings and improve business processes.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our internal audit methodology and risk assessment framework.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to business partners on risk management and internal control matters.
  • Support the CEO/CFO Certification (C3) program by ensuring the timely completion of operational effectiveness assessments and providing recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • CPA, CA designation required; MBA, CIA, and CISA designations an asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in audit/assurance/consulting, preferably at the Big 4 professional services firms.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience in SAP a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with management and business partners.
