Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician

Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at our Stoney Creek Construction & Forestry location. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of heavy-duty equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy-duty equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Dismantle, repair, and assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
  • Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities.
  • Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Prepare electronic inspection and service reports.
  • Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements:
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment considered an asset.
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset.
  • Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.
