We are seeking an experienced Drywall Specialist to join our team at ESW Building Services Inc. in a permanent position.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will work on commercial, residential, and institutional projects, ensuring high-quality drywall installation and finishing services.
This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work at heights, with heavy loads, and in dusty environments.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing, with knowledge of metal corner beads, ornamental plaster panels, and gypsum lath.
They will be responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints, and finishing corners and angles.
A strong understanding of blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications is essential for this role.
Responsibilities- Instruct apprentices in drywall installation and finishing techniques
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in finish coat
- Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
- Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings
- Prepare wall and ceiling layouts using laser alignment systems
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- 2-3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
- Diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., construction, carpentry)
- Strong understanding of blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- Able to work at heights, with heavy loads, and in dusty environments
- Overtime pay

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
