About the Opportunity

The Laboratory Services Department requires a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform analytical tests and procedures using appropriate methodologies and quality assurance techniques. The successful candidate will have the technical ability and problem-solving skills to perform all tests (both manual and automated) in clinical and environmental laboratories, working independently in emergency situations.Operates instruments that are often computer integrated and networked and uses computerized information systems. Compares test results to pre-established criteria and makes decisions regarding the reportability of results, exercising independent judgment. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times as deemed essential by professional standards.

About You

We are seeking a highly qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist who has:
  • Graduated from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Is licensed with NSCMLT or eligible
  • Registered with CSMLS
  • Able to work shiftwork, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
