About the Role

Celestica, a leading electronics manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join their team in Newmarket, ON. As a key member of the assembly team, you will be responsible for setting up and calibrating mechanical assembly tools, ensuring high-quality production and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble fabricated parts at floor stations, testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet product specifications.
  • Lift and maneuver materials or equipment up to 30lbs, with moderate machine operation.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
  • Collaborate with the team to prevent defects, increase efficiency, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform maintenance tasks and standard start checks as per HOS Key Success Factors.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an assembler is considered an asset.
  • Able to lift, carry, and maneuver materials or equipment up to 30lbs.
  • College certificate in a related field is an asset.
  • Basic PC skills are preferred.
  • Able to set up and calibrate mechanical assembly tools used in the assembly process.
  • Able to perform a variety of mechanical assembly operations based on IPC and customer specifications.
