The successful candidate will lead a team of warehouse professionals in executing warehouse and inventory activities while ensuring consistent application of management processes.
Job Description:- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environment (HSE) for all warehouse employees, contractors, and visitors involved in materials management operations.
- Overseeing warehouse staff in their daily duties, assigning tasks and scheduling workloads to meet material demands, including supporting after-hours needs as required.
- Establishing daily and weekly routines for the Lean Program to communicate key processes, address issues, and drive continuous improvement through problem-solving.
- Overseeing all receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring that shipping and logistics adhere to Rio Tinto, Provincial, and Federal policies and regulations.
- Maintaining security of the warehouse facilities and operations, ensuring compliance with Rio Tinto security policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with the warehouse team and training department to develop and monitor training plans, supporting role competency from basic safety standards through to advanced operational proficiency (journeyman accreditation).
We are looking for an individual with a minimum 5 years of industrial warehousing experience, preferably in a supervisory role within a unionized environment. Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and organizational abilities are essential for this position. Proficiency in Warehouse and Inventory Management software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
