Physiotherapy Assistant

Arvan Rehab Group is seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in L'Original, Ontario. This temporary position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a long term care setting, providing high-quality care to residents.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assist our physiotherapist in delivering treatment programs to residents. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with group exercises, leading one-on-one exercises, documenting treatments, and monitoring residents' progress.

• Assist with conducting group exercises for residents and lead one-on-one exercises as directed by the physiotherapist.
• Encourage residents to reach their planned treatment goals if appropriate.
• Document treatments and residents' progress after each therapy session according to the physiotherapist's instructions.
• Assist residents with walking, sitting, and safe transferring.
• Monitor any changes to a resident's health status and report to the physiotherapist or supervisor.

• Must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates.
• Experience working in a long term care or retirement home is an asset.
• Current police check for the vulnerable sector is required.
• Valid 2 STEP TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray is required.
• Access to a reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license is required (this position is not accessible by bus).
• A resident of the L'Original area is preferred.
