Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Airline Maintenance Planning Specialist to join our team at Porter Airlines. As a key member of our maintenance planning department, you will be responsible for daily maintenance planning to ensure the smooth operation of our aircraft fleet.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term maintenance plans to meet the needs of our operations team.
  • Create and manage work packages for overnight and daytime maintenance bases, ensuring that all necessary parts and equipment are available.
  • Coordinate with inventory control to ensure accurate part availability and timely delivery.
  • Review and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with operational planning teams, MOC, and SOCC to ensure seamless aircraft availability and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with technical operation departments to discuss planning decisions and requests.
  • Work closely with the heavy maintenance planning team to ensure efficient work completion.
  • Support the engineering team in issuing and completing modifications on the fleet.
  • Assist the reliability team in issuing recommended tasks and communicating task completion.
  • Enter completed maintenance tasks into the system, including component changes.
  • Filing and storage of technical records, such as journey log pages and task cards.
  • Promote a safe working environment by actively participating in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS).


Requirements:
  • A minimum of $70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
  • AMOS or RAAS experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working within an aircraft planning department would be an advantage.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Display a sound understanding of aircraft documentation, technical records, and aircraft scheduling.
