Operating Room Support Technician

As a community hospital, we serve the Lower Bucks County region with a range of medical services including cardiology, orthopedics, and general surgery. Our medical staff is comprised of over 200 physicians and 700 employees who work together to deliver comprehensive care to our community.

Job Summary:

The Operating Room Tech will assist surgeons and nurses with preparing for and executing surgical procedures. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
  2. Maintain the sterile field during cases.
  3. Provide the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
  • A graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years of experience (surgical setting preferred).
  • Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties.
  • Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas.
  • A current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
