Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team at TSE Chartered Professional Accountants. As an integral part of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling various financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Reconcile bank statements and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Process journal entries, invoices, and other financial transactions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop and implement processes to improve financial record-keeping and reduce errors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A college diploma or CEGEP certificate in accounting or a related field
  • 1+ year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a professional services firm
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in computerized accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
