Job Title: Gravel Hauler

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Gravel Hauler to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a Gravel Hauler, you will be responsible for transporting gravel and other materials to various construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Requirements:

  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Attention to detail
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Large workload
  • Physically demanding
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Will train

Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 40 to 60 hour workweek. The language of work is English.
