About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our team at Ledcor. As a key member of our Infrastructure division, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of various projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Execution
    • Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
    • Develop and implement resource-loaded 3-week look-ahead schedules to meet project milestones.
  • Site Safety and Quality
    • Ensure site safety measures meet or exceed corporate safety manual and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor and maintain high-quality standards in labor and materials.
  • Team Management
    • Oversee the care and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.
    • Hire and manage hourly employees as required to complete projects.
  • Financial Management
    • Review and approve subtrade/supplier invoices against field purchase orders.
    • Prepare and submit field change orders as required.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of construction supervision experience.
  • Previous experience as a General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar direct supervisory role.
  • Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry-related trade certification/education.
  • Solid understanding of modern construction practices.
  • Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule.
  • Understanding of construction documents and the ability to ensure they are complete, protect the owner's interest, and clearly define expectations.
  • Contract negotiation/management skills.
  • Knowledge of construction costs and budgets.
  • A strong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
  • Capacity to understand and interpret stakeholder needs and identify solutions to non-routine tasks or queries.
  • Ability to adapt information and communication style to the audience.
  • Skilled at promoting teamwork to establish consensus among team and stakeholders.
